Community Champions

Supporting Our Customers

At Constellation, we believe in giving back to the community—and know that a few dollars can go a long way. Through our Community Champions program, our customers can apply for small grants (up to $500) for causes that are important to their communities. Extra consideration will be given to those requests where the project, organization, or initiative focuses on education, environment, or youth. Since its inception, we have awarded nearly 2,500 community projects across 28 states where we do business.

Some examples of causes supported through the program include:

  • Community tree planting
  • Mentoring program
  • Library/recreation center makeover
  • Youth sports

Constellation Celebrates its 3000th Community Champion - Spirit NYS

Take a look at Dr. Harry Quigley, President of Poplar Hill Parks, Inc. – one of our 2023 Community Champions award winners
Hear from Hannah Testa, a talented teenager whose environmental non-profit Hannah4Change was selected as our 1,000th Community Champions award winner in 2018:

Please note:

  • Customers and organizations are eligible to receive one Community Champions grant award per 12-month period.
  • Constellation is unable to provide grants to houses of worship. However, Constellation is able to provide grants to food pantries and other afiliated community programs as long as those programs operate under a separate EIN.

For individual schools:

Constellation generally does not provide support to individual schools, as they typically are not listed in the IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File.  In order to support an individual school, the EIN provided in the application must be registered via the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search: Results for Tax Exempt Organization Search (irs.gov)

Community Champion Badge

If your organization is already a Community Champion, congratulations! You are doing wonderful things for your community, and we're so proud to be a part of those efforts. Adding a badge to your organization's website can raise awareness of the Community Champions program so that other organizations and individuals doing worthy work can benefit as well.

To add the Community Champions badge (shown above) to your website, highlight and copy the embed code below, and then paste it into the HTML area of your site.

If your site is on Wordpress, on the individual page on which you would like the badge to appear, make sure that you are in the "Text Editor" and drop the code into the appropriate section of the page.

For other platforms, follow a similar process to edit the content area through the HTML editor and add the embed code below.
