Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship, National
The Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship honors Cordell Reed who was the first and only black Chief Nuclear Officer under Constellation predecessor operating our Illinois nuclear fleet, and was a significant influence for individuals from communities of color to pursue careers in energy and engineering. This named scholarship celebrates the legacy of his leadership and creates opportunities for young minority students of color in the underserved communities in which we operate.
Four scholarships (two trade school, two traditional college) in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded each year. The Scholarship will be open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students from IL, MD, PA, and NY pursuing Engineering, Technical, or Energy related studies. Learn more.
Constellation Collegebound Scholars, Maryland
Collegebound Foundation provides resources and support for Baltimore City students plus wraparound services to college, through college. With the conviction that equity begins with a commitment to education, Constellation created this scholarship to assist first generation college students from Baltimore City with financial need interested in pursuing an energy, business or technology related career. First generation college students pursuing STEM careers with financial need are eligible to apply. Learn more.
Constellation Rising Scholars, Maryland
Constellation supports recent graduates of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute by awarding $5,000 scholarships per year for four years to five students, for a total of $100,000, as part of the company’s new Rising Scholars program. The program emerged from Constellation’s Equity & Inclusion Task Force, a cross-functional team of employees that focuses on eliminating barriers and creating opportunities for employees and the communities Constellation serves. Constellation STEM Scholars at UMBC, Maryland
UMBC is a Minority Serving Institution as designated by the U.S. Department of Education and also the top institutions in the nation for nearly a decade for African American students who go on to earn Ph.D.s in the natural sciences and engineering, as well as doctorates in the life sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Constellation scholarships help students prepare for successful careers in STEM and beyond. Learn more.
Constellation STEM Scholars at CCBC, Maryland
Constellation launched the Constellation Scholars at Community College of Baltimore County to support students pursuing degrees and certificates in fields that require knowledge of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). In addition to providing renewable energy and solar installations to power CCBC campuses, Constellation additionally supports scholarships for students to pursue careers in STEM. Learn more.

In addition to the above, we provide scholarships for nuclear and engineering programs at various universities including Howard University, Penn State, Purdue University, Rensselaer Polytechnic, Rutgers University, Syracuse University, Temple University, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, and University of Michigan.
