Below are a few examples of Constellation’s investments to shape our future:
Youth Energy Summit (Y.E.S)
In 2023 Constellation launched our inaugural summit in partnership with NEED: This program brought together 35 young people in 10th and 11th grade from diverse backgrounds from across MD and PA for an immersive experience to learn about clean energy careers. Throughout the week students visited Constellation Clean Energy Centers, including Calvert Cliffs and Conowingo Dam. They also participated in a range of immersive activities to learn about clean energy and worked in teams on a Climate Action Plan which they presented. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute: Nuclear Engineering
The generous scholarship Constellation awarded me will help support my education in nuclear engineering. During my six months as a co-op with Constellation, I gained insights into career options, and I was able to pinpoint exactly what I would like to do after I graduate. The experience expanded my knowledge by providing practical applications for the lessons I learned in the classroom as well as additional learning opportunities through the mentorship of professional engineers. I have been fortunate enough to be offered a position with Constellation in the Nuclear Fuels Department as a result of my co-op that will allow me to continue my personal and technical growth after graduation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

“Earning this scholarship, for me, is about breaking generational curses. At first, I did not want to go to college. I come from a neighborhood where young people are not expected to be aspirational, let alone actually achieve goals. But when I began to think about the many accomplishments I made as a high school student, I then had a change of heart. Once I looked at all that I was able to achieve thus far, I changed my mindset and began to believe in myself
I am the youngest of 12 children and I am the first in my immediate family to attend college. Earning this scholarship from Constellation Energy means that I not only get to pursue my dreams, but it also allows for me to prove to myself, and to others, that despite the obstacles I may have faced, and no matter how many others may doubt my abilities, I can, and I will continue to reach my goals and successfully complete college. For my education does not just benefit me, but my education is the major key to my family’s success.

“Even after packing every single piece of clothing I had, it never clicked in my seven-year-old mind that the trip from the Dominican Republic to the United States wasn’t just a visit, but it was a permanent move that would change my life forever. Now, when I look back, I can’t believe how far I’ve come. I went from leaving the only home that I ever knew, struggling to learn the English language and adapt to a new country, to being accepted into Carnegie Mellon University and earning a scholarship from Constellation.”
“Growing up in an immigrant family, we have a budget that is very restricted, so earning this scholarship means everything to me. Being accepted into a university was great, but then I had to worry about how it would be paid for, but with this scholarship, it’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I am the first in my family to attend college in the U.S., so having this financial help means that I have the option of not working while taking classes, so I can focus solely on school. With the help from Constellation, I’m that much closer to making my dreams a reality.”
Some of our scholarship partners include: Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship, National The Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship honors Cordell Reed who was the first and only black Chief Nuclear Officer under Constellation predecessor operating our Illinois nuclear fleet, and was a significant influence for individuals from communities of color to pursue careers in energy and engineering. This named scholarship celebrates the legacy of his leadership and creates opportunities for young minority students of color in the underserved communities in which we operate. Four scholarships (two trade school, two traditional college) in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded each year. The Scholarship will be open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students from IL, MD, PA, and NY pursuing Engineering, Technical, or Energy related studies. Learn more. Constellation Collegebound Scholars, Maryland Collegebound Foundation provides resources and support for Baltimore City students plus wraparound services to college, through college. With the conviction that equity begins with a commitment to education, Constellation created this scholarship to assist first generation college students from Baltimore City with financial need interested in pursuing an energy, business or technology related career. First generation college students pursuing STEM careers with financial need are eligible to apply. Learn more. Constellation Rising Scholars, Maryland Constellation supports recent graduates of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute by awarding $5,000 scholarships per year for four years to five students, for a total of $100,000, as part of the company’s new Rising Scholars program. The program emerged from Constellation’s Equity & Inclusion Task Force, a cross-functional team of employees that focuses on eliminating barriers and creating opportunities for employees and the communities Constellation serves. Constellation STEM Scholars at UMBC, Maryland UMBC is a Minority Serving Institution as designated by the U.S. Department of Education and also the top institutions in the nation for nearly a decade for African American students who go on to earn Ph.D.s in the natural sciences and engineering, as well as doctorates in the life sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Constellation scholarships help students prepare for successful careers in STEM and beyond. Learn more. Constellation STEM Scholars at CCBC, Maryland Constellation launched the Constellation Scholars at Community College of Baltimore County to support students pursuing degrees and certificates in fields that require knowledge of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). In addition to providing renewable energy and solar installations to power CCBC campuses, Constellation additionally supports scholarships for students to pursue careers in STEM. Learn more. E2 Energy to Educate

Constellation awarded more than $510,000 in E2 Energy to Educate grants in 2021 to support 23 hands-on student projects focusing on equity in energy, sustainability as a lifestyle, and a sustainable world. Collectively, these projects will engage more than 20,000 students from sixth grade through college. Since its inception in 2010, E2 has provided nearly $5 million in funding for 186 projects that have reached more than 249,000 students and enhanced their understanding of energy-related science and technology issues. | Maryland Science Center | On its first day as a new, Baltimore-based company, Constellation affirmed its commitment to the Maryland region and STEM education with a $1 million multiyear donation to the Maryland Science Center. The donation will fund Science Beyond the Classroom, Powered by Constellation, the Maryland Science Center’s longstanding program supporting free admission for all Maryland students visiting on field trips. A critical goal of the program will be to ensure all children have access to quality STEM education, recognizing that early access to science builds a foundation of lifelong learning. The sponsorship will ensure access to the Maryland Science Center for tens of thousands of students and teachers over the next five years. Learn more. |

| Sacks for Science | For each sack made by the Baltimore Ravens defense during regular season games, Constellation will send a school group to visit the Power Up! Exhibit at the Maryland Science Center. Each season, one lucky school group will also win the grand prize: a behind-the-scenes tour of M&T Bank Stadium with a special guest!
