Southwark Generating Station is operated by Constellation as part of our Peaking Division. It is a four-unit, 52-megawatt (MW) oil-fueled electric generation facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Constellation owns and operates a number of intermediate and peaking fossil power plants in several states, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Illinois. These units are used as needed for peak energy demand periods and load balancing.
