As Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer for the new Constellation, Koehler leads the company’s efforts in the areas of information technology, strategic technology platforms, cybersecurity, supply, real estate and facilities, transportation, and physical security. He is responsible for the strategic direction of Constellation’s information technology and digital strategy including resources and technology innovation and for ensuring effective and secure delivery and support of technology systems to all areas of the company. He serves on the Constellation Executive Committee, which sets strategy and direction for the company.
Constellation is the nation’s largest supplier of clean energy with more than 32,400 megawatts of generating capacity from nuclear, wind, solar, natural gas and hydro assets. The new, publicly traded company will produce about 10 percent of America’s carbon-free energy, making it a leader in addressing the climate crisis and an indispensable partner to businesses and state and local governments with its carbon-reduction goals.
Professional background
Mike Koehler joined Exelon as senior vice president and Chief Information and Chief Digital Officer in April 2016. Prior to his current role, Koehler worked as an information technology consultant to Exelon, leading its IT sourcing strategy efforts since October 2015. Before joining Exelon, he served as president of EMC Professional Services, where he managed its Global Services group’s broad portfolio of professional services, practices and delivery, as well as go-to-market execution, to maximize benefits from customers’ investments in EMC’s technology. As leader of EMC’s professional services team, Koehler was responsible for supporting EMC’s leadership role in cloud, big data, and Trusted IT by advising customers and partners.
Koehler previously served as senior vice president for HP, where his responsibilities included market expansion and improving revenue and profit throughout Canada, Latin America and the United States. Before joining HP, he served as executive vice president at EDS, where he managed information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing services across all geographic regions as well as for select global accounts. In that role, Koehler was instrumental in developing a go-to-market delivery model for global services across all geographies and industries. He also served as chief operations officer and senior vice president of the EDS Europe, Middle East and Africa business unit. Koehler also worked with the Feld Group and IBM Consulting.
Community work
Koehler serves as a director on the board of Coresite (COR), where he chairs the compensation committee and is a member of the audit committee. He also mentors and guides startups and emerging companies.
Educational background
Koehler received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University.
